AT$T: A Healthy Company With Sick Ideas!

AT&T?s latest proposals for health care mean thousands of dollars in new costs for workers.
One step forward, two steps back. That?s how health care negotiations go with AT&T.
Despite its enormous profits, AT&T is ruthlessly pursuing our health care benefits as we try
to negotiate new contracts.
Though the company has offered to reduce monthly contributions in the first year of a
new contract, they?ve also proposed massive increases to our deductibles?almost
three times what they are now (from $350 per individual and $700 per family to $1,000
per individual and $2,000 per family).
Additionally, our out-of-pocket maximums would triple under their plan, so that a family with serious health care needs would have to pay almost $10,000 out-of-pocket before the plan would start picking up all the costs of care. Our collective action inside and outside the Company is the only way to maintain affordable healthcare and get the fair and equitable contract we all need and deserve.
