Dedicated on June 10, 2006, the United States War Dogs Memorial, located guarding the gateway to the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial in Holmdel, New Jersey, consists of a bronze statue of a kneeling Vietnam War soldier and his dog, set on a black granite base.  The memorial was designed by sculptor Bruce Lindsay, Architectural Division Manager at Johnson Atelier in Mercerville, New Jersey. The U.S. War Dogs Memorial, while directly representing the War Dog Teams of the Vietnam War, honors all our nation’s war dogs and their handlers – past, present and future.

In addition US War Dogs works with, Mission K9 Rescue, a non-profit organization with offices in Houston, San Antonio, Colorado Springs and Los Angeles. From these locations they will provide assistance and support for Working Dogs worldwide. Our organization’s purpose for existence is to serve retiring and retired Military Working Dogs, Contract Working Dogs, and other Dogs who serve as they may fit into our mission and scope.
We believe that these hero dogs have a right to a good retirement, a loving home, and lifelong care.
Mission K9 Rescue provides monetary, transportation, adoption, and professional assistance for these retired hero dogs. Web site:
